Save electricity! Nanning Metro will close some escalators and lighting facilities

Recently, the temperature in Nanning City has continued to rise, the electricity load has surged, and the power supply situation is severe. On August 4, the official WeChat of Nanning Rail Transit announced that Nanning Metro actively responded to the spirit of the “Emergency Notice of the Office of the Nanning Municipal People’s Government on Orderly Utilization of Electricity to Ensure the Normal Order of Life and Production”, and implemented energy-saving and emission-reduction measures. Starting from August 5, 2021, the operation plan of adjusting station lighting, escalators and advertising led lights will be implemented. The relevant adjustments are as follows:

I. Station lighting

1. Part of the working LED lights will be turned off at intervals in the public areas of all stations during the operation period.

2. The advertising light boxes and LED screens in the halls, passages, entrances and exits of all stations will be closed. The advertising LED light box of the tunnel is turned on during the operating hours and closed after the operation ends.

II. Elevator operation

With the exception of East Railway Station, Dongdong Passenger Transport Station and other passenger feeder stations, the downstairs escalator at the entrance and exit is reserved. The operation mode of the ultra-long escalators (up and down) in Chaoyang Square Station and Qingxiushan Station and the vertical elevators of all stations on the whole line network will not be adjusted. In addition, only the ascending escalators are reserved at other stations on the line network, and the descending escalators are all closed. If there are 2 ascending escalators in some areas, only one is reserved.

The specific end time of the above adjustments will be implemented in accordance with the follow-up policy of the Nanning Municipal People's Government.
