How to choose SMD LED lamp beads?

When buying SMD LED lamp beads, we should not only pay attention to the price but also need to know how to distinguish whether the lamp beads are good or bad, so as to avoid buying bad lamp beads.

How do we distinguish the quality of SMD LED lamp beads?

1. The cleanliness of solder joints and surface layers of led SMD lamp beads

The products sold by the regular LED chip lamp bead manufacturers use the SMT chip process, which is manufactured with solder paste and reflow soldering process, so the solder joints on the LED chip lamp beads are relatively smooth and the amount of solder is not too much. The dots are arcs extending from the FPC pads to the LED electrodes.

2. The brightness of LED lamp beads

The brightness of the light strips made of poor LED lamp beads is very low because the quality of the LED lamp bead light-emitting chip determines that the brightness of the LED lamp beads made is not too high. The problem is the leakage of electricity (dead lights). The genuine chips are performing with high brightness, which is one of the reasons why their price is higher than others.

3, LED light beads lighting effect

The luminous flux (lm/w) is the key parameter for judging the quality of LED SMD lamp beads. The higher the luminous efficiency, the brighter.

4. Color temperature (CCT) of led lamp SMD beads

It is divided into warm white (2700K-3500K), natural white (3500K-4500K), and cool white (5000-6700K). Some of them are colorful, some are yellowish and some are white.
