Energy-saving certification requirements and safety of street lamp products

There are some differences between the energy-saving certification requirements of LED street lamp products and the requirements of safety certification, which are often ignored in the certification process and often leads to the situation that the safety certification is changed due to the energy-saving difference after the safety certification is obtained. The main differences are as follows :

I. Mark
In addition to meet the requirements of Chapter 5 of GB 7000.203-2013, LED street lights should be clearly and durable marked with the following signs:

1. Model and specifications (rated luminous flux and rated correlated color temperature).
2. Rated power supply voltage and power supply frequency, power supply current, rated power and power factor.
3. For LED road lights with adjustable installation angles, the corresponding adjustment angles need to be marked.

In addition to the above mandatory markings, the following applicable content should be marked on the LED road lamp or in the instructions of the street/road LED product manufacturer or responsible distributor when necessary:

1. Applicable power supply voltage range'
2. Dimensions and weight.
3. The model specification and manufacturer of the control device that can be used.
4. If the installation angle can be adjusted, there should be corresponding mark on the LED street lighting product.
5. Installation conditions, including road type, road width, number of lanes, road surface material, layout, installation height, 6, light pole installation distance, overhang length and elevation angle, etc.

II. Dustproof, anti-solid foreign matter and waterproof

The IP protection level of road streetlight should be IP65 or IP66.

III. Weight

For different outdoor road lightings specifications, the product weight should not exceed the limit.

IV. Applicable work requirements

It should be able to work normally within the range of 90-110% of the rated power supply voltage, and should be able to work normally under the condition of -30℃～45℃. At the same time, the led street lights outdoor & indoor should meet the environmental temperature requirements, humidity and corrosiveness and other special requirements of the specific application occasions.
