The difference between high-voltage light strips and low-voltage light strips

Low-voltage light strips are also called DC light strips, and high-voltage light strips are also called AC light strips. So what are the differences between these two COB lights and how to choose between the two?

Difference 1: safety

The 220V voltage used by the high-voltage COB lamp belt is a dangerous voltage, and there are hidden safety hazards in some risky applications. The low-voltage COB light strip is a safe voltage, which can be used in various occasions without any danger to the human body.

Difference 2: installation

The high-voltage COB lamp belt is relatively simple to install. It can be directly driven by a high-voltage driver. Generally, it can be configured directly in the factory, and it can work normally after turning on the 220V power supply. The installation of the low-voltage COB light strip requires the installation of a DC power supply in front of the light strip, which is relatively complicated during installation.

Difference 3: Service life

The service life of the low-voltage COB lamp belt will technically be 50000-100100 hours, and the actual use can also reach 30000-50010 hours. Because of the high voltage, the high-voltage COB lamp belt generates much more heat per unit length than the low-pressure COB lamp belt, which directly affects the life of the high-pressure COB lamp belt. Generally speaking, the service life of the high-pressure COB lamp belt is about 10,000 hours.
