Nantong Nengda Building is located in the core area of Nengda Business District in Nantong Economic and Technological Development Zone. Its night scene lighting and construction have been highly valued by urban construction and management. Project difficulties

Before the on-site lighting renovation and upgrading, the designer and the owner learned about the lighting status of the building many times on-site, and found that there were two main problems:

1. Insufficient recognition of lighting in the main building:

(1) The main building of Nengda Building is 160m high, and the lighting location is 100 meters away from the building. The original lighting scheme can only brighten a part of the area and cannot illuminate the wall accurately and evenly;

(2) The light from the original floodlights cannot reach the top of the facade, and the overall lighting effect presents a very rough state, without the recognition that it should be as a landmark building.

2. The podium lacks levels:

(1) The facade lighting of the podium relies entirely on flood lights to illuminate the entire area from a distance, lacking levels.

(2) The podium also has uneven lighting, which cannot highlight the unique design and curtain wall texture of the building.

How to meet the requirements of lighting design transformation? In addition to solving the problems of lighting technology, stable and safe lighting solutions should also be considered. After a lot of experiments, it is finally determined that the lighting scheme can not only meet the requirements of optimizing the image of the building at night, but also solve the original technical problems such as uneven illumination and lack of levels.

Two LED floodlight poles are set up in front of the building to uniformly illuminate the facade of the building. Landmark flood LED lights are used on the facade. It has the characteristics of ultra-long distance, high power, and ultra-small angle, which is suitable for the overall lighting of the unobstructed building facade like Nengda Building.

From the flood led lamp to the illuminated surface, it achieves a precise projection of more than 256 meters, and evenly illuminates the facade on the top of the building from bottom to top. The led flood lamps achieve small angles, long-distance precise light control and high-quality white light output, without damaging the Nengda Building under the premise of the shape of the building, the best lighting effect is achieved and the generation of escaping light is minimized.

In addition, the underground light sculpts the podium, 24.4 meters from the ground to the top, the light is illuminated from bottom to top, and the longitudinal lines are strengthened. The actual needs can freely adjust the front and rear tilt angle and the left and right horizontal installation position, which can be more suitable for the lighting needs of realizing the architectural shape.

The transformed Nengda Building is no longer the “little transparency” under the night. It is classic and solemn, like a door open to the world, symbolizing the dream of the increasingly developed Nantong connecting the world and writing a chapter of international development.
