The difference between rural and urban solar street lights
The history of street lamp development is actually not short. From the first steam lamp to the later electric lamp, our night life has become more comfortable, but all of these conveniences mostly occur in the city. For remote rural areas, it is still dark and silent at night, which is very inconvenient for people who need activities at night in the countryside.
However, to make the night in the countryside brighter, it is easy to think of, but difficult to do. There are often not enough electrical equipment here. In fact, there are not many street lamps that need to be installed, but a lot of cables have to be laid. It is a waste of resources. Fortunately, solar street lamps have appeared, which do not require the supply of city electricity. The sun is enough to light the solar led street lights. No wonder they are favored by more and more people in rural areas.
The environment in rural areas is different from that in cities, and the selection criteria for solar streetlights are naturally different. Below, the differences between the two options will be discussed from the four aspects of street lamp height, brightness, time and transportation.
1. Height
We should understand some regulations on the height of streetlights. National roads must not be less than 12 meters, urban side roads must not be less than 10 meters, urban streets must not be less than 8 meters, and country roads are generally not the wider than 10 meters, which is much smaller than the width of urban roads, a height of 6 meters is sufficient.
The 6-meter solar street light can bring us enough light. In addition, we should pay attention to the good use of street lights, which is indispensable for later maintenance. Naturally, there are not as many professional maintenance personnel in rural areas as there are in cities. The height is also more convenient for workers to maintain.
2. Brightness
The traffic flow in rural areas is naturally inferior to that in cities. Therefore, the brightness can also be slightly lowered to save costs, and to avoid high brightness affecting sleep, but the brightness should not be too low, otherwise it may have the opposite effect. Neutral light close to natural light is suitable, and the color temperature is between 2800k and 4200k.
3. Time
The city is often very lively in the middle of the night, but there are few entertainment activities in the countryside, and there are few people who come back late in the middle of the night. Therefore, the lighting time of street LED lights does not need to be compared with that in cities, and the lighting time is longer. It is enough to control it at around 12 o'clock in the evening. Choose led solar street lamps with a lighting time of 4~6 hours to meet the demand, avoid waste of resources, and reduce unnecessary costs.
4. Transportation
Another point to consider is the issue of transportation. Rural areas are remote. If the solar area lamps are not easy to handle, they will inevitably increase transportation costs. You can choose light-weight and small-sized components.
For example, the light poles are made of stainless steel or aluminum alloy. Most of the light poles are made of this material. Compared with other materials, the weight is much lighter, and this material itself also has high strength and corrosion resistance, etc. which fully guarantee the service life and reduce maintenance costs.
In short, whether it is urban or rural, the street solar lights you choose must be adapted to local conditions. The right one is the best, but don't blindly ignore the quality of the LED solar street lighting fixture itself in order to reduce costs!
