What are the reasons why solar street lights do not work?
Solar energy is an important energy source around us. Through solar energy, we invented solar water heaters and solar street lights. However, during the use of solar street lamp, it is inevitable that there will be some faults that affect our use, such as solar powered street lights do not light up. What we can do at this time is to find the cause of the fault and repair it as soon as possible, so as not to affect our use. The following are common reasons why all in one solar powered street lights do not work.
1. The line is loose or disconnected
The solar led street lights will not turn on or flicker when it is normally connected to electricity. It is likely that the wiring is loose or disconnected, we can reconnect the wires or replace the wires.
2. The battery does not work normally and the voltage is too low
Please confirm whether the positive and negative poles of the battery are connected reversely, and test whether the battery is broken. Use your own power supply to charge the battery. After the 12V battery is fully charged, the test voltage should be about 14.8V. Then connect the battery directly to the load (be careful not to connect to the controller at this time) to test the voltage with a multimeter to see the voltage change. If the voltage decreases slowly, it means the battery is normal. If the voltage decreases quickly in a short time, it means the battery is broken. The solar street light system cannot work normally (the LED light is off, the working time is not enough, the brightness is not enough, and it is on and off). Therefore, it is necessary to reconnect the battery, replace the battery, replace the battery terminal, repair the battery or directly replace the battery of the solar led lighting.
3. The positive and negative poles of the solar panel are connected reversely
The solar street light system will only turn on once after installation, and it will never turn on again when the battery is used up. Since wrong connecton of the battery makes it unable to charge again.
4. The solar panel is damaged
To test the solar panel, make sure to put it in the sun. First disconnected to any load and do not connect to the controller. Pull out the wire of the solar panel and connect it to a multimeter to test its voltage. Because the system is an 18V system, if the voltage of the solar panel is above 18v, it means the solar panel is working well. If the solar led street panel is under 18V, it must have something wrong.
5. The LED light source is damaged
This is a relatively common reason. The solar street LED light source is damaged due to natural or man-made reasons, which causes the LED street light system to fail to work, turn on and off, and flicker. You can first check whether the LED lamp beads have black spots. If there are black spots, you need to replace the street LED light source.
6. Controller setting error
There is no button on the street light controller panel, you need to add a handheld terminal or use a data cable to connect to the computer and use the software to reset. If the solar street light does not work normally, we need to reset the controller and directly replace the controller.
7. Controller program error
There is no button on the controller panel, and it needs to be reset by adding a handheld terminal or connecting a computer with a data cable. Please get help from the Solar street lighting system Supplier.
